SONYA PERRY HAS BEEN AWARDED UOAA'S HIGHEST NURSING HONOR, PRESENTED IN ST. LOUIS AT THE WOCN SOCIETY'S 41ST ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.
Sonya was presented the UOAA Nurse of the Year, 2009 award by Ken Auckett, President. Sonya was nominated by her peers, and also by a patient, who all think that she goes above and beyond. Sonya certainly is a bright star among us, and is a credit to our profession. The MER is proud to claim her, and was proud to be present in a general session where the award was presented. This honor was also announced at the MER membership meeting in St. Louis, where Sonya was presented with a watch to commemorate this occasion on behalf of the Region.
